@matigo I have just been given some sourdough starter by a friend. I plan to resume making my own bread - with as little yeast as possible and no nasty preservatives. Whenever I go to my friend’s for coffee she makes sourdough scones and they don’t upset my stomach at all, unlike shop bought (or even café provided) ones.
When I was little I don’t remember moldy bread, but I do remember stale bread, which Mum always turned into delicious bread pudding.
